Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, health care profession, healthcare management or related field. A minimum of 8 to 10 years in a senior leadership role related to delivery of the continuum of seniors health care services, and/or related other health services in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. The incumbent will demonstrate a clear pattern of professional and personal development and have a proven track record of success in health leadership. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

In addition, the incumbent will possess a record of accomplishment in the following areas: Progressive leadership experience in health services delivery, including practical experience in strategy and policy development, change leadership, and project management. Strategic thinking, taking into account long-term goals assessing options and implications. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, client and family focused orientation and commitment to providing sustainable quality services. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Ability to manage diverse human, financial and physical resources in a changing and multifaceted environment with diverse, complex and sensitive issues. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within a large, diverse organization, including leveraging change with contracted service providers and managing within a unionized sector. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, boards, committees, contracted service providers and other partners.


Preferred Qualifications:

Masters preparation preferred.
