Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a Master’s degree in health care administration, business administration, or a related field is required for this position. Equivalencies may be considered. A minimum of 8+ years in a senior management role related to delivery of Indigenous Health and/or related health services in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is essential. The successful candidate must demonstrate a clear pattern of professional and personal development. A current professional registration and valid driver’s license are also required for this role.


Additional Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate is an excellent communicator with strong organizational skills, customer-focused and commitment to provide a quality service. They possess advanced leadership skills including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching with the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. The position requires risk-taking, strong business management skills, public relations, and political astuteness. A working knowledge of health systems, change management skills, knowledge translation, and human relations is essential. This individual demonstrates an ability to build a strong team and deliver results, as well as the ability to manage change and create innovative, culturally safe solutions for complex and diverse issues. This position is responsible for managing resources in a complex environment, and for building and fostering collaboration with partners, care givers, senior management and external agencies.


Preferred Qualifications:

A graduate degree in health care management, business administration or related field is preferred. Additionally, ten or more years working directly with Indigenous people and communities are considered strong assets. A combination of education, skills, and experience may be considered.
