Completion of an accredited Primary Care Paramedic program. Active registration with Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) as an Emergency Medical Responder. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). Must hold a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with no more than six (6) demerits. Completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test taken no more than six months from the application date.
Additional Required Qualifications:Self-motivated and ability to work independently. Strong communication skills and exceptional organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference is given to those with previous EMS experience in a metro, suburban, rural, or interfacility environment and in other areas of Health Care and Public Safety. Completion of additional post-secondary programs is considered an asset. Applicants must provide proof of completion of post-secondary education credentials for them to be considered during the selection process. Willing to orientate entry level candidates with an interest in North Zone.
