Education Scheduler Admin Support III
Your Opportunity:
Administrative Support III is a working level, multi-skilled position that will provide support to the Furnishings & Equipment Department offices in both Edmonton and Calgary. The incumbent is required to be highly organized and efficient, confident and able to take initiative. They must also be adaptable and flexible to changing work assignments. It is essential the incumbent be proficient in working with several different documents concurrently. Strong cognitive, analytical, and problem solving skills are required. This position provides primary scheduling services to the Education Team for all new hire training, on-going refresher training, ad hoc employee coaching and training sessions, other calendar management, education materials administrative support/development and supports Department Timekeeping duties and vacation coverage for the Timekeeper, as needed. Manages calendar(s) by coordinating dates, times and required resources (e.g. travel arrangements, room, equipment, catering, parking, conflicting priorities) Composes, edits and formats documents, reports and correspondence according to established templates, procedures or specific instructions. Records, prepares, and circulates required documentation (e.g. agendas, minutes, newsletter, job aids, training materials, etc.) This posting is for a permanent, full time position.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Overall computing and typing skills (minimum 50 wpm) in addition to a strong skill set with Oracle People Soft applications (RMS, e-People), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, MS Project, Power Point, Visio and Word) is required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and to perform effectively as a team member. Grade 12 with post-secondary secretarial certificate or equivalent experience. At least 2 years’ experience working in a high demand business environment are essential. Understanding of clinical & medical terminology is required. A valid Class 5 driver’s license and the ability to travel locally or provincially for short periods of time is required.
Preferred Qualifications:A candidate who is comfortable working in a high pressured, ever-changing work environment with strong critical thinking skills, who welcomes social interaction with colleagues is preferred. Some travel throughout the province including overnight for project deliverables, teambuilding, staff meetings and other day to day activities is required with this position. Travel in winter driving conditions included.
