Required Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor's degree in a health sciences discipline. Training: Some formal training in simulation education. Some training in the design and delivery of adult education. Experience: At least eight (8) years clinical experience. Minimum of five (5) years of experience with simulation education. Some experience with clinical orientation, education, courses and/or re-certifications (experience in non-clinical adult education may be considered as equivalent). Some progressive, strategic, and innovative leadership experience. Competencies: Knowledge of principles/theories of adult education. A team player with strong communication, relational, coaching, and organizational/program evaluation skills. Computer literate with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong team building, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills and abilities. Client or customer management skills.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Must be willing to travel throughout the province as needed. Should be comfortable presenting and speaking to large and diverse audiences.


Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Graduate degree in a health sciences discipline/adult education/medical education. Training: Certification in simulation training/education (i.e., CHSE). Experience: Experience with scholarship/publications related to education or simulation. Curriculum development, implementation and evaluation experience. Competencies: Understanding of simulation challenges (clinical, operational, technological), education modalities, clinical applications, change management, and project management.
