Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:BScN required. 3-5 years recent clinical experience in Acute Care required. At least 2 years’ experience in the transplant field (organ, tissue or islet transplant) is required. Experience in quality assurance systems and adult education considered. The successful candidate should possess excellent organizational, written/ oral communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work in a strong vibrant setting as a team player, be flexible and adaptable and have the ability to manage and tolerate change. Demonstrates effective problem-solving and decision making skills. Ability to work independently, set priorities, and recognize and maintain confidential information. Must have working knowledge of computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous coordinator experience preferred. Knowledge of Health Canada regulations and CSA standards regarding donation and transplantation a strong asset.
