A Masters Degree in Architecture, Healthcare Administration/Management, Urban/City Planning or Business Administration, with significant capital planning, project planning and development, and healthcare experience is desired. Other educational backgrounds along with relevant experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Ideally a candidate will possess a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in a professional planning capacity, preferably on healthcare or other large institutional, publicly-funded projects. Experience in healthcare operational planning, process engineering, or functional planning within an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is desirable. The Director requires a combination of skills including comprehensive architectural, capital and/or healthcare planning experience; an understanding of healthcare built environments; working knowledge of best practice standards; and the ability to search out creative solutions to complex and challenging operational and capital challenges where none are available.
Preferred Qualifications:
Important people skills include the ability to lead a diverse group of professional and non-professional healthcare staff; to advise senior AHS Executive and external consultants on complex challenges or projects; and to bring a professional, focused approach in business dealings.
