Required Qualifications:

Active or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta (CRDHA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Baccalaureate Degree or Diploma in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program. Current Basic Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BCLS). Minimum 1 year experience as a dental hygienist in a dental office setting within the last 3 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a dental hygienist in an acute care hospital setting within the last 5 years. Experience performing dental services with pediatric patients. Experience with procedural sedation. Experience in the application of dental sealants. Consultation and assessment of pediatric patients with cleft palate and TMJ. Knowledge of resources and referral programs for community based dental treatment.
