The successful candidate must possess: A Bachelors degree in Nursing or a Masters degree in addition to a Social Work or Registered Psychiatric Nurse designation. Active registration with CARNA, CRPNA or the Alberta College of Social Workers. Previous successful completion of MAiD orientation program is required. A minimum of 5 years of recent clinical experience in working with patient in the area of acute care, geriatrics, addiction and mental health, palliative care, oncology and/or community care. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Valid Alberta driver’s license and dependable vehicle.
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrates clinical competence in prioritizing and planning. Demonstrates strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to set priorities. Demonstrates problem solving, critical thinking and sound decision-making skills. Demonstrates the ability to function as a team member and provide safe, patient centered care. Demonstrates the ability to recognize and maintain confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications:Palliative home care, oncology or ICU experience preferred. Masters in relevant field preferred. Understanding of and ability to interpret legal and legislative requirements preferred.
