Your Opportunity:
The Temporary (Temp) Coordinator, Parking Services – South Zone performs a leadership role in Parking Services and reports directly to the South Sector Manager, Parking Services. The Temp Coordinator position is responsible and accountable for providing direction, team leadership and organization over the activities of Parking Services in support of the vision, mission and business plan of Alberta Health Services. The position is responsible and accountable for making sector-level decisions and having direct leadership responsibility for contributing to the achievement of the goals of Parking Services. The Temp Coordinator, Parking Services will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders. The Temp Coordinator, Parking Services is also responsible for one or more of the following areas: Delivery and day-to-day operational oversight of parking services within the assigned portfolio. Delivery and oversight of parking enforcement services within the assigned portfolio. Under the direction of the Manager, Parking Operations or the Director, Parking Services, development of provincial policies and standards for the Parking Services portfolio. Under the direction of the Manager, Parking Operations or the Director, Parking Services, development of transportation demand management initiatives.

Demonstrated a clear pattern of professional and personal development. In addition, the incumbent will possess a record of accomplishment in the following areas: Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client-focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. A minimum of a college diploma. A minimum of 5 years in a front-line management or supervisory role, ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered. Proven track record of managing unionized staff including performance management, day to day operations and vacancy management. Strong computer skills. 5 year's Budget and financial experience including spreadsheet tracking. Ability to multi-task in accordance with meeting Senior Leadership deadlines, policies and changes. Post secondary education in a business-related field. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Strong track record of establishing and maintain working relations internal and external stakeholders. Must be able to perform review of site operations on foot, (will require ability to walk 1-5 kms to review site facilities fully.)
Additional Required Qualifications:Must be physically able to lift 20 kgs to waist level due to need to move, office supplies, documents, signage, barricades and other parking related equipment as required.
