Completion of Grade 12.
Additional Required Qualifications:High degree of cultural competence as it relates to working with Indigenous people. Ability to understand and speak the Cree language. Flexibility to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends as needed. As a bona fide occupational requirement, and under Section 11 of the Alberta Human Rights Act, only Indigenous applicants will be considered. We encourage Indigenous candidates to self-identify. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners in a respectful and collaborative manner. Proven ability to foster partnerships, and establish and maintain strong working relationships with First Nations and Metis communities, public agencies and government. Working knowledge of computer applications including basic word processing, email, videoconferencing, and internet access and data entry required.
Preferred Qualifications:College certificate/diploma in related health care discipline, such as Community Health Representative, Social Work, Nursing preferred (If part of a registered profession, registration in good standing with applicable governing body). Demonstrated ability and comfort with coaching and teaching individuals and groups. Ability to solve routine and standard problems. Evidence of initiative, flexibility and strong commitment. Demonstrated punctuality, adaptability, discretion and confidentiality.
