Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Recent, relevant experience as a Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologist performing procedures in a core laboratory and general diagnostic imaging department. Laboratory experience includes hematology, fluid counts, expanded chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, specimen collection, preparation and referral. Recent cardiology experience including ECG and Halter monitors. Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English. Good organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Ability to work independently and as a team. Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations. Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff, and physicians. Practices effective radiation protection, infection control, and safety techniques. Proficient in computer skills Ability to adapt to change.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent experience with Meditech, Muse, PACS. Familiar with Sysmex 550,ACL elite pro, Vitros 250, Triage meter, clinitek status, Istat. Mobile Radiography experience.
