Master's degree in Psychology or Social Work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Active or eligible for full registration (not provisional) with the applicable regulatory college. A minimum of 5 years' experience in providing mental health assessment and intervention, including restricted activity of psychosocial intervention.
Additional Required Qualifications:Master’s degree in a mental health related discipline required. Current Registration in relevant professional association recognized by Alberta Health Professions Act (e.g. ACSW, CAP). Minimum of 5 years demonstrated clinical experience and excellence in individual, family and group therapy in a Mental Health/Psychiatric setting, preferably with eating disorders. Experience in providing leadership and supervision with a multidisciplinary team. Experience working collaboratively in the provision of full range of services from outpatient, day treatment, inpatient. Knowledge about evaluation strategies and outcome research. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Track record of progressive leadership experience. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals, interdisciplinary teams and other departments. Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet, and email. This position provides direct supervision to the inpatient clinical care teams based at FMC. As needed, this position may also periodically provide support to the outpatient and day treatment care team at ACH and RRDTC. The CEDP inpatient treatment component is expanding and will have a new unit at the FMC opening in December 2025.
Preferred Qualifications:Advanced post graduate training in family therapy desired. Strong Family therapy skills preferred. Knowledge of and experience with eating disorders. Experience in providing Supervision to both staff and students. Experience working in mental health across the continuum of care (outpatient, day treatment, inpatient). Post graduate family therapy training. Extensive experience in group and family therapy as primary modalities of practice. Experience with Connect Care preferred.
