Master's degree in Psychology or Social Work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Active or eligible for full registration (not provisional) with the applicable regulatory college. A minimum of 5 years' experience in providing mental health assessment and intervention, including restricted activity of psychosocial intervention.
Additional Required Qualifications:Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Nursing with considerable experience in mental health assessment and intervention. Registration in a professional regulatory body as defined by the Health Professions Act. Registered Social Workers must be authorized to perform psychosocial interventions and designation as a Clinical Social Worker is preferred. 3-5 years of direct clinical experience with the focus on children, youth and their families, preferably in a community mental health setting. Advanced post graduate training in therapy desired. Formal training in a therapeutic modality of intervention may include, but is not limited to, Solution focused Therapy, CBT, Narrative, Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems, EMDR, etc. Proficiency with computers, including MS Office Suite, Internet, and email. Experience in Suicide Risk Management (assessment and intervention). Current CPR certification. Non Violent Crisis Intervention Training. Excellent interpersonal skills and well developed written and verbal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Concurrent capable education and experience highly preferred for leading this multi-disciplinary team. Experience in providing Supervision to both staff, students, and is able to take on practicum students at the master level. Experience working in mental health across the continuum of care (outpatient, day treatment, inpatient). Post graduate therapy training. Experience with Connect Care preferred.
