Master's degree in Psychology or Social Work or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college. 5 years' experience in providing mental health assessment and intervention, including restricted activity of psychosocial intervention.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of one of the following programs: Master's degree in Psychology. Master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy and who have Psychosocial Intervention Authorization. Master's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with: a related Master’s degree including training in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy or considerable experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Master’s preferred. Minimum of 5 – 6 years of recent experience in addictions and mental health, preferably in community setting. Knowledge and skill in mental health assessment, risk assessment, crisis intervention, treatment, brief solution focused therapy or equivalent. Experience working with community and external stakeholders. Strong abilities in working within a multidisciplinary team and demonstrated contribution in emerging programs is essential. Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Efficient with LOCUS tool (Level of Care Utilization System).
