Completion of an accredited Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) Advanced Care Paramedic program. Active registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP). Must hold a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with no more than six (6) demerits. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test taken no more than six (6) months prior to the application date.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 5 years ACP experience or equivalent. Ability to complete full duties as an ACP paramedic. Experience in Prehospital teaching and/or equivalency area e.g. Emerge or ICU.
Preferred Qualifications:Post-secondary education or University Degree. Instructor certification in ACLS, PALS, ITLS, NRP. ACLS-EP, BLS, Working Minds, NVCI. Experience with developing curriculum. Use of education technologies/programs. Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to demonstrate professional practice and leadership.
