Completion of an accredited Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) Advanced Care Paramedic program. Active registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP). Must hold a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with no more than six (6) demerits. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test taken no more than six (6) months prior to the application date.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of five years Advanced care paramedic field experience and the ability to maintain clinical exposure through ride alongs. Equivalent healthcare qualifications may be considered. Experience in the delivery of adult education in the classroom learning (education) specific to adult education. Ability to perform full duties of an Advanced Care Paramedic.
Preferred Qualifications:Instructor certification in ACLS, ACLS-EP, PALS, ITLS, NRP, BLS (CPR), NVCI, and The Working Minds for First Responders. Project Management certificate or higher. Ability to demonstrate professional practice and leadership. Education or experience in AV/computer software (photography, video, Lectora, Captivate). Education or experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
