Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in a field related to the position (accounting and/or business administration, healthcare or research). Previous experience in a research or academic environment is essential.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years experience in a research finance setting. Strong attention to detail, superior organizational skills, advanced communication and Microsoft Excel skills. Experience or familiarity with contracts or budget development in a clinical trials/research/grant funding environment is a major asset. Ability to organize multiple tasks/projects and work independently in a fast-paced setting to meet tight timelines. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Ability to manage finances in a changing and multifaceted environment with diverse and complex issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with clinical trial procedures, finance and budget negotiation. Knowledge of medical tests and procedures. Experience working with a pharmaceutical sponsor, clinical research organization or in an academic oncology medical centre. 5 years experience in a research finance setting.
