Completion of a two year diploma in Biomedical Engineering Technology from an accredited Institute of Technology. Active or eligible for registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) with The Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET).
Additional Required Qualifications:A strong background in medical equipment technology used in health care coupled with several courses in equipment service and exhibits a working knowledge of medical terminology and physiology. Must demonstrate technical skills and mechanical aptitude. Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, written/verbal communication and organizational skills. Must be reliable, alert, accurate, and capable of working independently possessing a good judgment and initiative. Well versed in Healthcare IT including networking, medical device interfaces, Windows/DOS/MS Office. Experience operating medical diagnostic and biomedical maintenance management software. Valid class 5 driver's license and the ability to travel outside Canada for training.
