Completion of a two year diploma in Biomedical Engineering Technology from an accredited Institute of Technology. Active or eligible for registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) with The Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET).
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrate technical skills and mechanical aptitude. Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs. A strong background in medical equipment technology and service. Healthcare IT knowledge such as networking, application interfaces, antivirus/ encryption, and experience with computerized maintenance management software and medical equipment diagnostic software. Knowledge of Medical device industry regulations and standards. Integrate industry best practices in daily routine work. Ability to travel is required, both in and out-of-country travel required for technical training purposes; must possess a valid passport.
Preferred Qualifications:Disciplined in organizing and planning the work as per set objectives and established priorities. Critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills. Ability to communicate effectively and good interpersonal skills. Positive attitude and good performance record. Long term commitment to live and work in Lethbridge, Alberta. Currently in the process of CET designation with ASET or demonstrate sincere commitment to gain the CET designation.
