Baccalaureate degree Social Work required, Masters preferred. Active registration with Alberta College of Social Workers. Experience in acute and critical care is essential, preferably in an acute tertiary level facility. Strong clinical skills in social work, including knowledge of appropriate community resources, supports and legislation required of the role. Experience in managing daily staffing and scheduling. Demonstrate and lead social work best practice and model practice standards. Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in clinical practice, with at least 3 years in leadership, facilitation, coaching, people management, change management and quality improvement. Knowledge of AHS, Alberta’s healthcare structure, and of collective agreements required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience working with electronic medical records is preferred and experience in use of EPIC/Connect Care is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is preferred.
