Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Keen interest in quality improvement and patient safety. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Well-developed critical thinking and problem solving skills. Flexible, creative and able to adapt easily to a changing environment. Certified SCR or willing to obtain certification is required. Must be able to lift up to and greater than 5 lbs. Must have the ability to mobilize across the RAH campus.
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate degree is preferred. 3 years of experience in project coordination and/or quality improvement preferred. Previous operating room experience in a Surgical Suite setting is an asset. Master’s level training preferred. Quality improvement training, experience and certification is an asset. Experienced with adult education and adult learning principles is an asset. Familiar with data collection, analysis and reporting. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively.
