Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 3 years experience as a Registered Nurse with a minimum 2 years experience at a 0.5 FTE or greater in the Alberta provincial Public Health Nursing programs. Minimum 1 year experience within the past 5 years at a minimum 0.5 FTE in the Provincial CDC program. Experience in a role developing and delivering educational programs or initiatives and/or developing clinical guidance documents (e.g., processes, procedures, guides). Reliable internet access and ability to maintain a confidential workspace is required for remote work.
Preferred Qualifications:Proven experience with communicable disease control, with focused expertise in immunization and the prevention, investigation & control of notifiable diseases & outbreaks. Previous experience in an AHN role related to communicable disease, outbreak management or immunization. Proven experience working with the principles, legislation, privacy, & confidentiality involved in Communicable Disease Control. Ability to work effectively in a virtual team. Master’s degree completed or in progress.
