Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 5 years current nursing experience with 5 years in a Home Care setting required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong understanding of McMaster Case Management Model of Care and community service delivery. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to monitor financial accountabilities. Demonstrated critical thinking and decision making skills. Demonstrated assessment skills. Demonstrates ability to work with electronic methods of communication including Electronic health record(s), MS office suite, Skype for business, computer and multi-line telephone/fax.
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice specifically within the Home Care community sector will be considered.
