Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate possesses an advanced level of computer and data analysis skills, and an ability to function both independently and within a virtual provincial team. The minimum educational requirement is a Baccalaureate degree in a data, information technology, or health-related field with additional training such as epidemiology or biostatistics. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are important, especially the ability to communicate well with both those who have expertise in information technology as well as those who work in health-related fields. The position requires long periods of time at the computer, and must work on-site in an IPC office to fulfill privacy requirements for the surveillance system.
