Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a Post-Secondary education in a related field such as: Law Enforcement, Social Studies, and Security & Asset Protection. Grade 12 diploma or GED equivalent. Must be eligible for appointment as a Community Peace Officer by the Province of Alberta. Non GDL Class 5 Drivers License. Must have access to or own a vehicle. An organizational awareness of the role that Protective Services plays within the AHS organization.


Additional Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 to 5 years supervisory or management experience in a law enforcement or security related role in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. Strong knowledge of computer systems and applications, specifically Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Access. Fast, precise and accurate data entry skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

Equivalencies of education and experience preferably in health care setting may be considered. Certifications / Courses: Pressure Point Control Tactics Instructor. ACE Knife and Ground Instructor. Counter Blade Concepts Authorized Instructor. CPI Non Violent Crisis Intervention Instructor. Verbal Judo Instructor. Red Cross First Aid Instructor. Preferred Memberships: International Law Enforcement Educators & Trainers Association. International Association Healthcare Security & Safety.
