Administrative Support VI - Operations Specialist

As the Staffing Service Centre Operations Specialist (SSCOS) you will provide direct service subject matter expertise and support to the SSC Manager in the delivery of optimal service levels to clients and staffing service productivity. You will follow and execute the provincial scheduling processes, best practice and Provincial Staffing Service (PSS) goals and objectives. In this role, you will also support the administrative staff in their development of provincial education and training concepts and protocols. This SSCOS provides service delivery and service software applications expertise by way of consultation and education to Unit Managers/Delegates and unit/department employees regarding staff scheduling process. Additionally, you will provide both SSC employee and PSS client training/education, business system and service issue analysis through the development of quality assurance/audit tools to provide recommendations to optimize the client service experience and outcomes. Working independently to evaluate/ perform complex data analysis, you will find resolutions to system application or scheduling process barriers to ensure maximized service outcomes. And finally, as a SSCOS, you will provide recommendations and advice in the strategy, planning and development of new or updated process within the zone/province.

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. diploma in business or office administration, specialized external certification).
Additional Required Qualifications:Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint. 3 years of advanced staffing experience in a healthcare environment. Experience with ESP & ESP Self Service scheduling software., Tableau and Sharepoint. 1 year of experience providing training / education to adults. Leadership experience (delegating, prioritizing, coaching and mentoring) required. Working knowledge of PSS Standard Scheduling Operating Procedures (SSOP) required.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of Alberta Health Services' environment and staffing practices. Previous Administrative Support V- Scheduler Team Lead experience. Leadership experience (Delegating, Prioritizing, Coaching, Mediating). Experience documenting/analyzing business processes. Proven customer service experience /strong commitment to client satisfaction. Experience working with unionized groups and multiple management levels. Knowledge of the applicable collective agreements and pay codes.
