Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 3 years of senior administrative & project work related experience. Experience within a healthcare and academic environment. Experience in educational program support and executive meeting coordination. Intermediate skills and experience with MS Access, MS Excel, MS Project Management, MS Visio and PowerPoint. Accurate typing skills of 65-75 wpm. Demonstrated time-management, multitasking and organizational skills and the ability to effectively coordinate a number of projects simultaneously. Superior communication skills are essential for this role. Must be able to problem solve effectively and handle confidential matters with discretion. Must have awareness of public and corporate image, directives and goals. Basic understanding and application of the Freedom of Information and Privacy Protection Act, specifically for health providers and patient information. Demonstrated analytic problem-solving and decision making skills are necessary to anticipate, identify and independently recommend appropriate actions to complex administrative problems. Must be able to exercise professionalism, judgment, tact, diplomacy and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive and confidential issues.
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated time-management and organizational skills, ability to effectively coordinate a number of projects simultaneously. Superior communication skills. Experience in a large healthcare organization or academic health environment is preferred.
