Administrative Support V – Staffing Liaison
Your Opportunity:
Reporting directly to the Patient Care Manager for the Orthopedic Surgery Centre at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, we are currently seeking a highly capable and proactive employee to fulfill the staffing liaison role. In this role you will be responsible for delivering exceptional staffing and scheduling support to the surgical suite and inpatient units. You will undertake a range of administrative duties including but not limited to managing daily flowsheets and all timekeeping related forms (e.g., OT/ On Call/ Callback) to the PSS Team, ensure all time off request are entered properly as per the collective agreement. Ensuring the provision of staff for the for immediate, next day, and future needs, ensure daily unit staff baselines are satisfied, build up reports and audits. Meeting regularly with the unit managers to discuss requests and vacancies within the portfolios. Including vacation planner entry. There is strong growth potential in this position to include working with the RMS system and other recruitment platforms. As an Administrative Support V Staffing Liaison, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedure, practices, and initiatives that may impact staff schedules and safe patient care within the program. This position works autonomously, demands strong written and verbal communication skills, and excellent working knowledge of the ESP Scheduler Program and the new Workforce Management System. The Staffing Liaison provides support to the unit managers by ensuring scheduling data is recorded correctly in a timely and accurate manner in ESP. This may include building and managing excel spreadsheets to capture data trends within the program as well as reviewing reports daily to capture and ensure the staffing needs of the unit are addressed.

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience with the ESP Scheduler / Timekeeping Program. Experience demonstrating the use of related scheduling applications. 1 year of full-time previous equivalent experience in an ESP Staffing Services Office - within the past 5 years. Ability to take initiative with advanced computer skills, Excel & Word. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must have excellent communication/interpersonal skills, be courteous, cheerful, and pleasant and possess an outgoing attitude. Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Displays professionalism.
