Required Qualifications:

Completion of some post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant). Knowledge and operation of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Additional Qualifications:

Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a combination of education and professional experience in communications, public relations, community engagement, health care administration, business management or related discipline. Completion of a retail management training program from a large national / international retailer Minimum of three to five (3-5) years’ experience in Human Resources or customer service, preferably with a large health care organization. Retail experience of two to three (2-3) years in a large chain of stores, with high volumes of inventory and a large customer base. Personal volunteer experience of several years, preferably with multiple organizations. Experience planning, developing and implementing full cycle volunteer management strategies, with a focus on youth engagement. Ability to focus on volunteer and program / service / site needs by anticipating, understanding, and responding to meet or exceed their expectations High degree of independence, with an ability to take initiative, manage work flow and set priorities. Demonstrated high degree of professionalism, accuracy, diplomacy, judgement and discretion is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic awareness of related legislation and best practices in volunteer management Excellent knowledge of Volunteer Management computer software Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple competing assignments.
