Administrative Support IV
Your Opportunity:
This Administrative Support IV role is an advanced and challenging clerical role supporting Gastroenterology and Hepatology Physicians. The role’s key responsibility is booking patients into endoscopy and clinic schedules, as well act as the first point of contact for patients and physicians. You will be expected to expertly navigate a busy schedule coordinating bookings with other internal and external departments, book diagnostic testing and imaging for patients, communicate prep and plan of care information, manage multiple physician’s schedules and templates, and communicate to relevant stakeholders. The Clerk IV is an essential part of the healthcare team. The successful candidate must possess strong intrapersonal skills, demonstrate an ability to clearly communicate in stressful situations, and consistently execute attention to detail in work performance. This role also requires a strong ability to multi-task, successfully complete work while managing numerous interruptions, demonstrate flexibility to learn workflows associated with each diagnostic area or clinic, and independently implement problem solving strategies.

Additional Required Qualifications:Grade 12 diploma required. Medical Office Assistant or Unit Clerk Certificate required. Ambulatory and Lumens Connect Care booking experience required. Experience working in an ambulatory clinic setting within the last year. Patient chart management experience required. Experience with booking appointments/tests/procedures for patients required. Medical Terminology course required. Must be fluent in English both verbal and written. Must have excellent phone demeanor and communication. Gastroenterology and Hepatology clinic experience strongly preferred. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time at a computer. Typing speed of 50-70 words per minute. Connect Care ambulatory experience and Connect Care Lumens experience. Excellent English language skills, verbal and written. Ability to remain calm in stressful environments.
Preferred Qualifications:Familiar with GI and Endoscopic bookings and procedures. GI, Hepatology, Capsule and Motility booking experience. Connect Care Roles: Amb Advanced Schegistrar with Referrals, Ambulatory Unit Clerk, Endoscopy Scheduler, Lumens Front Desk Scheduler and Surgical Office Assistant.
