Administrative Support IV
Your Opportunity:
Reporting to PCM/UM for OR and Surgery, this position provides secretarial and clerical support. The incumbent will provide confidential administrative and program support to the PCM and UM with limited degree of supervision. This includes responsibilities for managing the day-to-day administrative requirements which include managing calendars, staff scheduling, producing memos for distribution, posting position for hire, and contacting candidates and setting up interviews. This position also involves typing of correspondence and a variety of documents, scheduling meetings, taking provide secretarial relief for other team members of the administration team and will work collaboratively to ensure excellent secretarial support is provided to the programs. The position is required to be able to push, pull and lift 11-20 pounds frequently and 21-50 pounds occasionally.

Additional Required Qualifications:High School Graduation is required. Successful completion of a recognized Clerk / Admin. course required. Must have medical terminology and three (3) years working in a surgical environment. Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail in assigned duties. Extensive computer experience required. Ability to cope with frequent interruptions. Effective interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with patients, families and all levels of staff are required. Excellent time management, communication, multi-tasking skills and the ability to organize and prioritize workload effectively required. Demonstrated initiative, flexibility and independence in a team atmosphere. Demonstrated ability to adapt towards change. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have medical terminology and current three (3) years working in a surgical environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience with scheduling an asset. Working advanced knowledge of MS Office including Excel, ESP, e-People (RMS Portion of e-People - Recruitment Management Systems), Connect Care, Netcare, EPIC< nternet, E-mail, Employee Scheduling; Oracle (P2P) and typing speed of 40 WPM.
