Edmonton Zone Continuing Care provides services through five main program areas: Home Living, Supportive Living, Facility Living, Transition Services and Palliative Care. Continuing Care has an immediate opening for an Administrative Support IV. This role involves working with a diverse team of individuals using a variety of information systems such as Workforce Management (WFM) & Connect Care to complete complex and urgent staff scheduling tasks within short timelines in a busy office environment. The AS IV is responsible for communicating, collaborating and working cooperatively with Case Managers and contracted agencies to ensure support service requests are processed in a timely manner. The AS IV will respond to inquiries and contractors regarding referrals and support services. In addition, the ASIV will input data, maintain referral records and statistics, and run reports relative to service requests and authorizations, missed visits, wait times, client, coordinator and provider concerns. Duties include but are not limited to : data entry, collecting and organizing information for confidential reports, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, filing, photocopying, faxing, and assisting with other department processes, as required. The successful candidate will have the ability to establish priorities, proactively identify problems and issues of concern, and initiate problem resolutions. Roles and duties include: Sitting for extended periods. Listing office/medical supplies and equipment weighing up to 30 lbs. Using repetitive motions. Lifting, bending, reaching, and standing for prolonged periods.

Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year experience working with Workforce ESP Scheduler. At the time of interview, you may be required to demonstrate your computer knowledge and proficiency by completing a hands-on assessment. You must demonstrate sufficient typing speed to meet workload demand and navigate through various computer programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Visio, Outlook and Internet. Minimum of 3 years secretarial experience preferably in a health-related environment. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must demonstrate excellent organizational and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively. Excellent time management skills. Ability to take initiative and handle a variety of assignments with attention to detail. Excellent aptitude for interpersonal relations combined with an ability to interact with senior management and other team members in a professional and efficient manner. An excellent attendance record, reliability, and personal suitability must be demonstrated through your employment record or references. Physical demands of the job include Sitting for extended periods, listing office/medical supplies and equipment weighing up to 30 lbs., using repetitive motions, lifting, bending, reaching, and standing for prolonged periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference may be given to candidates that have a finance or accounting designation. Familiarity with the Continuing Care program. Familiarity with AHS policies and procedures. Familiarity with Connect Care and Homefirst. 2 to 3 years related health care experience in scheduling and coordinating. Minimum of 1 year experience applying terms and conditions of the various Collective Agreements.
