Administrative Support IV
Your Opportunity:
The Department of Pediatrics is hiring for a casual position. The incumbent will be responsible for coverage and support in our billing unit and/or the daily activities of assigned physicians, including research, medical education, and administrative or medical leadership commitments. To function effectively in the role, the incumbent should have a comprehensive understanding of the operations of both Alberta Health Services and the University of Calgary, Cumming School of Medicine. Experience in the areas of medical education and/or research would be beneficial. The successful candidate will be proactive, self-directed, and able to work as part of a cohesive team. Sound judgment, tact, creativity, and initiative. Hours will vary between 08:00-4:15 Mon-Fri.

Additional Required Qualifications:Equivalent experience of 3 years at an intermediate administrative level. Attention to detail, accuracy, and time management - testing will be completed to confirm. Strong communication skills. Minimum intermediate competency in Microsoft Office, including Excel (testing will be completed to confirm). Previous experience with calendar management, minute-taking, and creating agendas. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with appropriate tact and diplomacy. Previous experience with basic accounting and managing expenses. Must be able to lift and carry up 25 lbs. Preferred Qualifications:2 years of full-time experience in an intermediate administrative capacity in a health care setting. 2 years of experience managing calendars, minute-taking, and creating agendas. Previous event or conference planning experience. Previous scheduling experience (health care scheduling preferred). Previous experience with Regional On-Call Applications (ROCA). Medical Terminology. University of Calgary Research administration and accounting experience preferred.
