Your Opportunity:

The Administrative Support IV will be working as our Client Scheduler in Home Care. We are looking for someone with strong problem-solving and communication skills, enjoys working with the public and Health Care Aides. Experience with scheduling and dealing with client concerns is vital for the success in this role. Our ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and be detail oriented. The Administrative Support IV - Client Scheduler will make up part of our administrative support team and will work to support others in this team. This role reports to the Area Manager under the supervision of the Administrative Support IV. This position will work with our staff scheduling team as well as with Personal Support Coordinators (who provide supervision to the HCAs) and Case Managers (who provide authorizations for care provision that the HCAs are assigned). You must have a positive attitude, be able to work in a stress environment with short timelines and competing priorities. This role supports our HCAs who are working in the community (i.e. in clients’ homes) and lodges. The successful candidate will assist with the admin-related workload in the event that the Admin III is on leave/position is vacant. We have a limited number of Client Schedulers thus in the event of peers on leave/position vacancy, you may need to adjust your schedule or be required to pick up additional shifts. This role is vital to the success and operation of our program. You will actively participate in quality improvement initiatives. You will participate in assigned committees/working groups/meetings. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of relevant post-secondary education (e.g. diploma/degree in office of business administration, public health, community health). Experience in scheduling. Experience in customer service including strong communication skills, especially soft skills. Willing and able to work independently and as part of a team. Possess strong organizational/multi-tasking skills. You must be able to work with limited supervision and provide direction & support to HCAs and clients. You are required to work extended shifts and 7 days a week, including stats. You must possess strong communication and soft skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in home care. Experience with public including seniors. Knowledge in Client and staff scheduling.
