Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years of medical department experience in an acute or community care setting, training in medical terminology, proficiency in all Microsoft Suite applications, Adobe Acrobat, and experience with various AHS applications such as Connect Care (with applicable administrative assistant or unit clerk ILT training), Oracle, e-Facilities, and the IT/HR Service Hub. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who has experience with a range of administrative tasks and processes. Comfortable with reception duties, effectively monitoring and prioritizing calls from the main phone line, as well as communicating with the assigned virtual respiratory therapist (RRT). The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, interacting with patients in a caring and compassionate nature. Can successfully manage supply calls, including patient communications, inventory management, shipping and receiving, as well as a knowledge of billing and claims processes. Able to perform calendar maintenance, booking meetings, meeting minutes, agendas, etc. Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data entry and database management. Training in medical terminology, proficiency in all Microsoft Suite applications, and Adobe Acrobat. As the first contact someone may have with PIRS, this individual is someone who shows and maintains a professional and respectful presence and attitude in the work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous AHS experience, including experience with AHS software such as iProcurement, AHS Stores, and Connect Care training, including reporting, hospital account registration, workflow management, and scheduling would be an asset.
