Come join our long term care team! Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre is seeking an Admin Support IV- timekeeper/ scheduler, in a casual position. Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, this Scheduler/Payroll clerk provides vital support to nursing and care staff at the WCCCC. The Scheduler uses the Makeshift staff scheduling application proficiently and works within established staff scheduling processes to complete complex and often urgent staff scheduling tasks within short timelines in a busy, high-pressure environment. Attention to detail will be crucial as you ensure that employees are scheduled appropriately, and employee’s payroll is captured in accordance with AHS policies and respective union Collective Agreements. Leveraging accomplished, technical and interpersonal communication skills, you will enjoy providing outstanding customer service to valued clients. Your expertise will also be used to assist in the scheduling and orientation of new staff. As the successful Scheduler, your key responsibilities will include filling pre-booked and immediate shifts that result from staff vacation, leave of absence, illness and education leave; anticipating staffing needs and informing managers of shifts that require further attention; entering data for payroll; providing scheduling reports; detailing records and compiling/providing statistical information. Understanding these responsibilities, the ideal candidate will focus on developing trusted relationships, effective interdisciplinary communication with clients and prioritizing with a resident focused mindset. Please Note: This position is located 110 km south of Calgary city limits and 80 km north of Lethbridge.

Additional Required Qualifications:Proficient with computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Suite. Ability to work as a member of a team and to request and accept direction as required. Effective interpersonal and communication skills with team members. Exemplary time management skills. Ability to handle the physical demands of the position: Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time, walking long distances onto the units multiple times a day, answering phones, lifting supplies, filing electronically. Knowledge of the organization, all respective collective agreements and operations of specific areas assigned. This position requires individuals to be able to communicate clearly and regularly with managers and other applicable team members.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in a healthcare setting. Well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Flexibility and ability to meet the demands of changing priorities and deadlines. Experience with scheduling software and payroll processes.
