Your Opportunity:

The Recovery Alberta – Edmonton Zone Adult Acute Services admin support/staffing liaison acts as the first point of contact for information for staff, leadership, patients, and public approaching these areas. A primary function of this role will be staffing liaison supporting complex and often urgent staff scheduling tasks within short timelines. You will be accountable for the day-to-day administration and operation of pre-determined staff scheduling processes. Leveraging technical and interpersonal communication skills, you will liaise with unit managers, bed managers, charge nurses, full-time, part-time and casual staff to fill shifts due to anticipated and unanticipated absences. You will be required to anticipate staffing needs and communicate to managers about shifts that require further attention. You will also support more complex scheduling and timekeeping procedures. Following pre-booking guidelines, you will perform data entry, run reports and assist managers in their decision making about staff scheduling. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and ability to communicate effectively to others, both verbally and in writing. Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to foster relationships with members of the multidisciplinary team. Data collection and tracking for various subsets of information for the unit/program. Performing other clerical functions including recruitment, ordering, word processing and formatting, recording and transcribing meeting minutes as required, along with any other clerical duties required to maintain unit/program operations. Other administrative duties as needed to support units at RAH and UAH; answering phones; maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment; working within Connect Care to manage flow of clinical information. Point of contact between staff and the leadership team.

Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited administrative assistant course or equivalent training program. 2 years clerical experience required, preferably in areas related to ESP staffing/scheduling; experience with Addiction & Mental Health programs preferred. Point of contact between staff and the leadership team. Must have working knowledge/experience of RMS, Oracle (P2P), Grand & Toy, Data Group, e-People, e-facilities, Connect Care, IAM, IT Service Hub, and advance ESP experience. Should already have/or the ability to complete required staffing liaison training. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 2-year experience working in staff scheduling with ESP. Timekeeping/payroll experience. Thorough knowledge of applicable collective agreements.
