Your Opportunity:

Under the direction of the CSF Operations Lead, the position is accountable for the generation, validation and electronic distribution of reports related to contracted services activity. This includes invoice creation, matching and payment validation. The position will communicate directly with the assigned zone surgical contract Director and the Chartered Surgical Facility (CSF) leadership regarding any adjustments/changes to these statement reports. This position provides advanced level clerical support for managing the operating room data and invoicing for approximately 30,000 to 45,000 surgical patients cared for under the AHS Surgical Contracts each year. The position provides support and mentorship to the team members. The position may provide support to surgeons & office teams if directed to by CSF leadership. This position requires significant attention to detail, as well as advanced knowledge and skill in the use of Microsoft Excel & Access. Independent judgement and solid knowledge of departmental and organizational policies and procedures is required. This position works within a zone team and is required to support assigned zone operations and alternate zone operations for staff coverage.

Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Advanced Medical Terminology Certificate. Consideration will be given to candidates with College Business/ Accounting Certificate. Post-secondary graduate in in health related or health information technology required. Minimum 3 years' work experience in a similar position which includes operating room scheduling or health information databases. Advanced Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Access and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, SQL, database required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Work experience in healthcare or business-related purchasing, invoicing and finance an asset. Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment. Ability to prioritize workload, multiple communications or deal with interruptions within a dynamic work environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
