Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in business administration, medical office assistant), or other related fields.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office of business administration, medical office assistant) Medical Secretarial Certification Program Graduate or General Secretarial Certification Program. Excellent typing skills. Ability to work with frequent interruptions, prioritize and respond to changing needs. Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision. Demonstrated independent initiative and judgment. Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational and time management skills, communication skills, including telephone skills. Strict regard for confidentiality of all information related to the position is expected. 3 years in a health care setting, preferable a hospital setting. Medical Terminology (Intermediate Level) preferred. Organizational skills and effective time management to prioritize work independently. Must be flexible in order to accommodate changing workload demands. Must be able to exercise professionalism, tact, diplomacy and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive and confidential issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in: Connect Care, Astraia, Visage, Accuro, Clinibase, Microsoft- Outlook, Word, Excel. Exceptional computer skills. Experience in obstetrical and prenatal care environments.
