Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in business administration, medical office assistant), or other related fields.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Excellent computer software/application proficiency is essential to this role: must have Microsoft Office experience, including Excel spreadsheets, Visio diagram and flowchart software, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams. Previous use of electronic medical and health records (Connect Care and Netcare) as well as knowledge and experience in health information management. Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a progressively responsible administrative role(s). The successful candidate's knowledge and work experience will demonstrate excellence with: word processing and business correspondence, communication skills (oral and written) interpersonally and in public relations with internal and external contacts, organization and coordination skills, as well as working independently with minimal supervision and working under pressure with multiple short timelines, showing initiative, good judgement, flexibility, and diplomacy. Managing sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality, identifying and consulting with managers on serious or sensitive matters is crucial to this position. Must have experience and ability to compile statistical reports and create data-based presentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of relevant administrative support in community based addiction and mental health services. Knowledge of addiction and mental health disorders and an understanding of the patient and family experience in seeking and receiving services. Administrative support on project management preferred. Experience with transcription and medical terminology.
