Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:The Administrative Support III – Volunteer Resources Program Assistant provides expertise in volunteer management support, and ensures consistent delivery of AHS and department based policies and procedures. The Program Assistant works with limited guidance under the Volunteer Resources Coordinator, and is responsible to ensure volunteer vetting is done with accuracy, and required training is obtained prior to placement while supporting a customer service approach. The Program Assistant supports the successful on boarding of new volunteers to ensure their success, and supports existing volunteers with coaching and mentorship. The Program Assistant is responsible for the volunteers under their site portfolio; this includes scheduling, providing orientations, ongoing education and incident reporting, assisting and supporting the volunteers to ensure they are compliant with AHS guideline standards in health screening, police information checks. Program Assistants have a high level of problem solving and work with affiliate AHS partner stakeholders to ultimately support the vision, mission and values of AHS.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a volunteer service environment. Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada membership is preferred. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
