Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 or General Equivalency Diploma, supplemented by office assistant courses and/or health record related courses required. English language skills in reading, writing and oral communication required. Previous experience in an office environment within the last five years required. Accurate data entry/keyboarding skills required. Ability to work with minimal supervision required. Ability to work well within a team environment, both locally and across multiple sites/ programs. Ability to foster positive interpersonal and communication skills in a professional manner with clients, healthcare providers, peers, departmental management, and other individuals who access our service. Ability to prioritize workload to meet established turnaround times required. Ability to make sound judgment decisions. Ability to adhere to strict organizational policies and procedures and legislated requirements regarding patient confidentiality. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and still meet workload timelines required. Ability to move and lift moderately (up to 50 pounds) heavy objects required. Ability to operate basic office equipment, including fax, photocopier and personal computer required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with The Alberta Vaccine Inventory system preferred. Previous experience working with vaccine inventories and vaccine management an asset. Previous experience in a health care setting preferred.
