Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:The successful candidate will be enrolled with the National Payroll Institute (NPI) and either have completed or be working towards PCP certification, with at least the Payroll Legislation Compliance course completed. A minimum of 1+ years of recent unionized payroll experience in a large organization is required, along with experience processing payroll in the Province of Alberta. Strong computer skills and demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) are essential; knowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft is considered an asset. Additionally, the successful candidate must be able to sit for long periods throughout the workday and, on required Calgary Southport in-office days each bi-weekly pay period, walk 10+ minutes to the Southport Mailroom multiple times a day. The role may also require some heavy lifting of boxes (10lbs+) of envelopes during in-office days.
Preferred Qualifications:Post-secondary education in business, finance, or accounting administration is preferred. Experience in government or healthcare environments is also preferred.
