Your Opportunity:

The Administrative Support III will be working under the general supervision and guidance of the Administrative IV, Clinical Coordinator, and Manager. This position performs a variety of administrative duties related to interviewing patients/parents in providing accurate and timely registration services for the AMH clinic. Main tasks include receptionist duties involving admission and registration of clients, answering telephone, responding to queries, data entry, and filing. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Northern Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $6,300. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Knowledge and operation of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Keyboarding skills required, proficiency test would be administered. Knowledge of legislation regarding access, privacy and disclosure of patient information required. Confident to work independently and in a team environment with excellent communication skills. Skilled at paying close attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional image, manage stressful situations with empathy and to remain calm, courteous, sensitive and tactful at all times. Able to prioritize work and cope with frequent interruptions. Must be able to work all shifts based on operational needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience and knowledge of addictions and mental health. Ability to work under tight deadlines. Responding to crises calls.
