Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Knowledge and operation of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Required completion of Medical Office Assistance course. Required completion of Medical Terminology course. Required current working knowledge of Microsfot Outlook, Word and Excel. Typing speed of 45 wpm required. Typing test and medical terminology test administered at interview - pass mark of 70% required on terminology exam to be considered for interview. 45 wpm required on typing test to be considered for interview. Critical thinking skills required. Excellent customer services skills required. Excellent communication skills both written and spoken required. Must be able to demonstrate flexibility within an environment of constant interruptions and changing work demands. Computer systems, including MS Offie (Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook)required. Professional accountability to the team and yourself required. Expectation that the AHS Code of Conduct is followed at all times is expected. Adherence to AHS Dress Code is expected. These positions will be trained for and expected to work at two AHS locations of the Alberta Children's Hospital and the Richmond Road Diagnostic and Treatment Centre. The expectation is that these are casual positions that cover short notice sick calls, vacations or personal leave days at both sites. These are booked on a casual basis, based on operational needs. This is a casual role and there are no guaranteed hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

PD, Netcare and Clinibase experience preferred. Minumum of one year experience within the last two years in a health care facility preferred. Experience in patient/client scheduling preferred. Customer service experience within a medical or office setting preferred.
