Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from a post-secondary program in a related field or equivalent.

Additional Qualifications:

Diploma from a health or disability related field is required. A degree would be preferred. Equivalent combination of education, skills and experience may be considered. Effective oral and written communication skills. 2-4 years of community experience with targeted population is required. Previous experience working with individuals with diagnosed ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) with associated complex behaviours. Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and a co-occurring mental illness and/or behavioral concerns is an asset. First Aid Certification and Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) required Note: This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Past experience working with a client directed outcome informed clinical framework is recommended. Training in non-violent crisis intervention and psychosocial rehabilitation is desirable.
