Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) program. Completion of International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) certification or Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certification.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Qualification from a recognized sterile processing course is required, as well as a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician in a Medical Device Reprocessing Department is required. Preference will be given to those candidates who have experience at a tertiary hospital. One year recent experience in an equivalent position or equivalent hours of recent experience as a relief Working Leader is preferred. Advanced windows based applications, VAX and SPM are also a requirement of this position. The successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to build positive interpersonal relationships within the team, and the ability to engage employees in learning and development. They must also possess ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment, with changing priorities and deadlines. Knowledge and experience with WHMIS is required.
