Working Leader - Environment
Your Opportunity:
Under limited supervision, the Working Leader - Environmental and Linen Services is responsible to oversee the onsite daily operations by assigning, monitoring and providing direction and leadership in both areas. This position is the local on-site primary contact. Assist with workload in both areas in accordance with Alberta Health Services Standards and Practices. This position assists in the daily organization of workflow demands, ensures staffing levels are maintained. Oversees that the equipment is working and maintained. Ensure supplies are adequate. Communicates regularly with the LES supervisor.
Description:
As a Working Leader - Environmental, you will be responsible for monitoring and directing the day-to-day workload of the Environmental Services department and ensuring maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies. Your typical duties as the Environmental Working Leader may include developing and maintaining staff schedules; assigning and checking work of the Environmental Services department; assisting with equipment breakdown investigations and providing recommendations for repairs; and coordinating quality assurance functions. You will ensure quality and performance of cleaning tasks in accordance with AHS standards and practices.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Physically capable to walk and/or stand for the duration of your shift, and perform repetitive physical movements.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of Certified Linen Technician Course. Knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite, E-People timekeeper’s course, experience and knowledge of the KPOH data base. Working Leader Training.
Preferred Qualifications:As required.
