Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a degree/diploma/certification in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline and CRSP designation. If CRSP not present, candidate must already be enrolled in an accredited program with commitment to complete within 2 years must be provided.

Additional Required Qualifications:

In addition, the incumbent will possess a record of accomplishment in the following areas: Ability to develop and facilitate presentations to convey information or transfer knowledge. Significant experience in problem solving, concerns resolution, investigation, and negotiation. Team leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Experience in coaching leaders. Demonstrated ability to foster relationships/partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective communicator with strong organizational & influencing skills, client-focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Adaptable to constant change. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Extensive knowledge of the client group / function supported and best practices applicable to Workplace Health & Safety. Experience managing physical and human resources and related financial / statistical information. Demonstrated ability to facilitate change. Occasional extensive travel to several communities within Northwest Alberta will be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with complex data analysis and/or interpretation, evaluation methodologies, and developing formal reports. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered (healthcare experience an asset).
